At ENFORCE TAC, we reviewed THALES's NightRise Pano-Night Vision Goggles, which offer an impressive 120° field of view. Weighing 740g and powered by a single AA battery, they feature two flip-up tubes and standard 18 mm compatibility. Compact yet chunky in appearance, the goggles impressed us with their details and functionality.
At the ENFORCE TAC, we had the chance to hold the NightRise Pano-Night Vision Goggles from THALES and take a look through them. Our first impression was very impressive.
Compared to standard night vision devices with a 40° field of view, the field of view of the NightRise is an incredible 120°. In fact, it's even 2-3° more. That's a broader field of view than the 97° from the well-known GPNVG-18.
Powered by just one AA battery, the NightRise weighs in at 740g. An external battery pack can also be used.
Two pairs of tubes can be flipped up. This is a very practical feature. The NightRise uses standard 18 mm tubes, so you have the full selection.
Overall, the NightRise night vision goggles are relatively compact and do not add much bulk, even though they appear a bit chunky. We liked the goggles very much, and they impressed us with many small details. We hope to be able to present the NightRise in detail in the future.
