The Czech company ACTA NON VERBA KNIVES (ANV) has expanded its offering of knives with new models. In the past, we introduced you to the A400 BB and the M311 Comp from ANV. Knives are the oldest tools in the world and are used daily. Therefore, it is practical to carry an EDC-compatible knife. This time we had the opportunity to test and introduce a slightly more elegant and everyday EDC knife, the model A090.

"Deeds instead of words" is not just lip service at ACTA NON VERBA KNIVES, but is also reflected in the products and developments.

The A090 features a lightweight design of approximately 77 grams and a compact build with an overall length of 175 mm.

When folded, the A090 measures 105 mm, making it ideal for discreet everyday carry. It impresses with a "civil-friendly" design that stands out from the aggressive style of many tactical folding knives. Furthermore, it is the smallest model in the A series.

The 70 mm long, stonewashed blade with a thickness of 3 mm is made of Sandvik-14C28N stainless steel, known for its good corrosion resistance and edge retention. It has a drop-point profile with a characteristic ANV-S wedge that provides additional yet refined cutting performance.

The A090 runs on ball bearings, ensuring a smooth opening, and features the reliable and secure A-Lock mechanism.

Here you can see the notches of the A-Lock system from ANV.

The ANV-Lock closure system ensures reliable safety in both open and closed positions.

The safety button cannot be reversed, as ANV has integrated it into the A090 in such a way that it can be operated from both sides.

The black G10 handle scales feature a precision-milled texture that does not appear too aggressive. The handling of the A090 is secure and comfortable.

The jimping on the top of the handle provides better grip, allowing for a firmer hold on the knife with the thumb placed on the spine of the blade.

The A090 features a red, ambidextrous thumb stud with an integrated lumidot, a luminous point that glows in the dark.

The thumb stud is easy to reach, and thanks to the ball bearings, the blade opens effortlessly.

The knife is equipped with a deep-carry wire pocket clip that integrates into the handle. The pocket clip can be reversed like the thumb stud, making the knife suitable for both left and right-handed users.

Thanks to its design and clip, the knife can be carried discreetly and unobtrusively in your pocket.

The carry method "Tip Up" allows for optimal access to the knife.

At the rear part of the handle, contrasting red spacers reinforce the construction and allow for the attachment of a paracord loop.

CONCLUSION

In developing the A090, ANV KNIVES focused on functionality, durability, and comfortable everyday carry (EDC). Its compact size takes up minimal space in the pocket while fitting perfectly in the hand. The blade shape is less aggressive and looks rather unobtrusive. The profile is discreetly designed. As a result, the A090 appears more civilian than other models, giving it a particularly elegant and high-quality appearance. In summary, the A090 is a reliable, well-crafted "slicer" made from high-quality materials. The gentleman's folder impresses with its lightweight and slim design.

The present knife A090 from the brand ACTA NON VERBA KNIVES can be purchased directly in this shop for 136 euros. Furthermore, it is available at all retailers that carry knives from the brand ANV.
