Ukraine's security forces have partnered with QUANTUM SYSTEMS to acquire 15,000 interception drones to combat Russian attack drones. The collaboration also involves the Ukrainian manufacturer WIY DRONES, specializing in UAVs. The STRILA interception drone, designed for fast aerial targets, will increase production to meet urgent needs.
Interception drones (c-UAS) have become an indispensable component for Ukraine in the fight against Russian attack drones. In line with the defense priorities of the Ukrainian government, the security and defense forces of Ukraine have commissioned QUANTUM SYSTEMS to deliver 15,000 interception drones to the National Guard of Ukraine.
This follows the investment by QUANTUM SYSTEMS in the Ukrainian manufacturer of unmanned systems WIY DRONES. The company specializes in the development and production of interception drones as well as reconnaissance and attack UAVs, ground control stations, and related systems.
The production of the interception drone STRILA (Ukrainian for "Arrow"), which has been specifically designed for intercepting fast aerial targets, is being expanded through the joint efforts of both companies. Initially, production will be ramped up in Ukraine to meet the urgent demand. Future exports of production surpluses are possible.
