10th Mountain becomes Smarter
The 10th Mountain Division, the first US unit in Afghanistan in 2001, will be equipped with a new communication system for their upcoming deployment in the Hindu Kush from General Dynamics and Harris. They will be the first complete unit to test the new technology in the combat zone. Currently, the soldiers of the 10th Mountain Division are undergoing appropriate training at Fort Polk, Louisiana.
