REVIEW: Lindnerhof Tactics Magazine Pouch Pistol 1er HL004-1/2 and PA004-1

Small magazines need small magazine pouches. We could argue now whether pistol magazines are really small, but that's not the point today. We took a look at two pouches for pistol magazines from Linderhof Taktik. The Pistol Magazine Pouch 1er HL004-1/2 and the Pistol Magazine Pouch 1er PA004-1.

This is a relatively bulky name, so in the following we will refer to them as HL and Cordura. In the image, they are side by side. At first glance, a very classic design. On the left is the Cordura pistol magazine pouch and on the right, the HL variant. HL stands for Hybrid Laminate, which is the material it is made of.

The differences between the two are very slight. The HL variant puts special emphasis on weight reduction, which is why there is no metal eyelet for water drainage, but a dart.

Both are attached with PALS straps, which has proven itself – no need to reinvent the wheel. The Cordura variant uses classic webbing and the HL variant uses Hypalon in laser cutting.

The locking flaps are folded back on both. In the HL pistol pouch, you can see an additional safety option with a rubber cord. However, you can also easily remove it if you prefer. The magazines fit securely in both pouches even without a safety guard.

A look into the empty pouch explains why. Inside, there is a magazine clamp, the clip RMPL_1_00031_BLACK, specially developed by Linderhof Taktik.

You can also easily remove it if you don't like it. The clip naturally increases the resistance to pull, and reinsertion is also slightly tighter, but this ensures that the pistol magazine is securely held in the pouch.

The securing tabs are Velcroed. You can easily convert the magazine pouches into Fast Draw Pouches with a few simple steps.

CONCLUSION: The two single magazine pouches HL004-1/2 and PA004-1 provide a good and secure home for your pistol magazines. They can easily be converted into Fast Draw Pouches if you prefer. The single Pistol Magazine Pouches are a jack-of-all-trades in the world of magazine pouches.
