The B&T Behördentage also impressed the international audience of security authorities and military in this year's edition. On the 18th and 19th of June, the B&T Behördentage took place in their usual biennial rhythm. With around 700 participants from over 30 countries, the largest event for security authorities in Switzerland was once again well attended and internationally diverse. One unique factor might be that the Behördentage, which could be simplified as a "house fair" by B&T, took place on a shooting range.
Since the Guntelsey shooting range is one of the largest 300m shooting ranges in Switzerland, there was enough space for around 40 top-notch exhibitors and the opportunity to shoot firearms from B&T as well as Heckler & Koch on site. As B&T represents many well-known and proven brands in the field of weapon accessories and equipment in Switzerland, the list of exhibitors reads like a who's who of the industry. Aimpoint, Blackhawk, Ulbrichts Protection, 5.11, Heckler & Koch were just a few of the exhibitors present.
Thanks to the strict access restrictions, there was always a very open atmosphere of discussion from which both sides benefited. This allowed the exhibitors to take away various interesting suggestions from the participants, especially from the Intervention/Special Units sector, which will be reflected in improved or future products.
On the other hand, visitors received the latest information from various areas through various presentations and workshops held by various exhibitors and independent experts. "Self and colleague assistance in gunshot or stab injuries" was one of the topics of great interest to all participants, as they can be confronted with it at any time. "The ballistic assessment of the .300 Blackout cartridge for police service," on the other hand, explained why this cartridge is an excellent choice for police mid-range weapons. Various other presentations on a wide range of specialist topics rounded off the event.
The B&T Behördentage are, as all exhibitors and participants agreed, not only a highly interesting showcase in the area of weapons and accessories, but also a very useful further training event.
The next Behördentage will take place in June 2021 as usual. Those who leave their email address at http://2021.bt-ag.ch will receive an invitation in due time.

Brains want to protect themselves: Ulbrichts Protection, the producer of the best helmets for operations, was also present.
Safran Vetronix provides a different kind of high-tech, aiming to help the sharpshooter be faster and more precise with what's on the scope.
Marom Dolphin presented an exciting backpack system that "goes with you," balancing the vibrations of the heavy backpack while marching.
The dog from the security company that guarded the event at night is a Malinois. He wears a camera holder with light from Marom Dolphin. This is also used in Israel for reconnaissance in Palestinian tunnels.
Size matters? Heckler & Koch was of course present at the B&T Behördentage, here with the 40mm grenade machine gun.
Size matters? Perhaps ideal for police users: the Glock 17 pimped as USW17 - HERE at the IWA 2019. Small like a pistol, accurate like a carbine.
For those who find that too small, the portable irritant grenade launcher from Hoernecke Defence will surely satisfy. No eye will remain dry.
A persistent problem at the B&T Behördentage: What do we do with the door? There were also workshops and new helpful technology for that.
And of course, always top-notch technology from B&T. Here the submachine gun in field test. No wonder it was the B&T Behördentage ...
