Machine grenade launcher: Balkans shoot better

Balkan is the newest machine grenade launcher from Russia. It has just been field tested and found to be good. The Russians are moving from 30mm to 40mm: Balkan is supposed to replace the currently used 30mm machine grenade launchers (AGS-17 Plamya/Flame and AGS-30). According to the manufacturer, the switch is worthwhile for the army: the firing range with Balkan is 25 percent larger and the caseless ammunition is supposed to be twice as powerful as that of AGS-17 and AGS-30.
