UF PRO Hunter FZ Softshell is entering the next generation

Good news from UF PRO: starting from October 1, the new Hunter FZ Gen. 2 Tactical Softshell Jacket will be available for sale. This is an improved version of the versatile softshell mid-layer/outerwear from UF PRO for military or police operations in less than ideal weather conditions.

The new Hunter FZ Tactical Jacket of the next generation will maintain all the features that its predecessor had. Among the key features are a construction with breathable but windproof and water-resistant materials, an intelligent pocket configuration, and the use of design techniques that allow the garment to conform perfectly to the contours of the wearer's body without restricting freedom of movement in any way.

The main improvements of the Hunter FZ Gen. 2 Tactical Jacket at a glance:
– Excellent abrasion resistance due to additional nylon mesh side panels starting from the armpits and extending to the waist;
– Elastic cuffs;
– Strap-secured upper arm pocket with Velcro closure and pen pocket

"We are confident that military and police personnel will love the improvements made to this essential piece of tactical softshell gear," emphasizes Armin Wagner, head of product development at UF PRO. "And since the Hunter FZ Gen. 2 is an anatomically adapted garment, it can be worn as a mid-layer under one or more additional layers, such as under a hardshell like our Monsoon Tactical Rain Jacket. The Hunter FZ Gen. 2 Tactical Jacket is the ideal addition to any clothing system."

According to the developer, the UF PRO Hunter FZ Gen. 2 Tactical Jacket is water-resistant and excellent for use in fog, drizzle, and even light to moderate rain, while its ability to completely block the wind will provide ideal protection even against strong gusts on cold days. The jacket's lining is made of 100% polyester fiber. Wagner explains that this provides thermal properties that can keep the wearer warm in temperatures up to 5°C and comfortable even when temperatures rise to 25°C.

"As with our other garments in the Hunter FZ series, we use lightweight COCONA® Inc. 37.5™ microfleece for the lining material - we do this because of its excellent performance profile," he added. "Among the benefits that 37.5™ microfleece offers is fast drying when it gets sweaty wet. In fact, it dries so quickly that the wearer probably won't even realize they've been sweating at all."

The lightweight liner contributes to the overall weight of the jacket being just over half a kilogram. Furthermore, Wagner praises the jacket's small pack size, as it can be easily folded or rolled up for storage in a backpack.

The Hunter FZ Gen 2 Tactical Jacket will cost 139 € and will be available in the colors Black, Brown Gray (RAL7013), Navy Blue, and Steel Gray. HERE it can be found on the UF PRO website.
