REVIEW: LMSG with FORGE WORKS "The Little One" knife

09/26/2023By Redaktion

Last Man Standig Gear (LMSGear) has designed and released an EDC knife in collaboration with FORGE WORKS in a limited run. LMS Gear is known for its M.U.D jeans, and FORGE WORKS for its various EDC knives. SPARTANAT took a closer look at this compact cutting tool.

The knife was manufactured in the Black Forest in the forge of FORGE WORKS. It was made of SB 1 steel with HRC 60. This high-alloy carbon steel, also known as Niolox, is rust-resistant and extremely flexible and durable. It has a hardness of approximately 60 HRC and offers high edge retention. Additionally, this rust-resistant steel type is a versatile performer.

"The little one" also underwent a cryogenic treatment. The extreme cold can further increase wear resistance and improve steel properties.

The small knife is 4 mm thick, 105 mm long, weighs 40 grams, and has a 30 mm diameter ring. The blade length is 40 mm. Beautifully engraved on the blade is the combined logo of LMS Gear and FORGE WORKS.

The knife comes with a matching Kydex sheath, without attachment options. It's up to each user to decide how they want to carry the knife.

Our solution: A Utility Clip can be attached to the sheath via the three eyelets.

Alternatively, paracord can be used for the neck knife option.

"The little one" is intended as a small companion for the watch pocket of the tactical jeans by LMS Gear. It also fits in regular pants pockets or the concealed front pocket of the M.U.D jeans.

It can be discreetly concealed in a pocket or pouch.

Put a shirt over the knife for a concealed carry.

The "little one" can be grasped in various ways. Here shown in a fencing grip.

Alternatively, it can also be held in an ice pick grip.

CONCLUSION: Small but powerful! A small and fine companion for everyday carry. "The little one" is not the first collaboration between LMS Gear and FORGE WORKS. This small knife was part of a limited edition run. The price was 148.90 EUR.

It leaves you wanting more.
