Designer Dietmar Pohl has a long-standing friendship with Schmeisser managing directors Andreas Schumacher and Thomas Hoff. Naturally, Dietmar Pohl offered his assistance in designing the Hugo knife line without hesitation. Schmeisser already had a rough idea of the designs and in the end, it only took some fine-tuning to turn the HUGO ONE and HUGO TWO knives into robust and fully operational all-rounders.
