Further unit equipped with MBAS

The great equipment exchange in Switzerland is progressing. On April 1, 2025, the soldiers of the 30th Grenadier Battalion at the Army Logistics Center in Monteceneri (TI) were equipped with the Modular Clothing and Equipment System (MBAS). By the end of this year, all active soldiers should be equipped with MBAS. After that, all militia units are scheduled to follow.

From now on, all female and male soldiers of the Special Forces Command – professional soldiers and militia soldiers – are equipped with the MBAS. And don’t be surprised, sometimes you will also find the abbreviation SMHE, which is MBAS in French and means “Système modulaire d’habillement et d’équipement”.
