Why the L-ATV will succeed the Humvee

A picture is worth a thousand words. As we reported, in August of last year, the Oshkosh L-ATV was declared the winner of the JLTV (Joint Light Tactical Vehicle) competition to replace the legendary HMMWV. Lockheed Martin, who did not win the contract, then filed a lawsuit against the decision, but has since withdrawn it after the above graphic was made public in the US Department of Defense's 2015 fiscal year report.
