During war games, the Bundeswehr gets far too little attention. That is now changing. Empress Miniatures have just released their "Ultramodern Bundeswehr": current German soldiers in the "Infantryman of the Future - Gladius" (IdZ-Gladius) equipment. While this doesn't win any wars, it could start one at the gaming table. The set is enough for a small war: the figures are 28mm.
Looks pretty good already. By the way, the Bundeswehr is getting more: Rheinmetall has won a major contract with the Bundeswehr worth 370 million EUR gross (310 million EUR net). The Düsseldorf-based technology company is to deliver 68 sets of the highly modern soldier system "Infantryman of the Future - Extended System" to the armed forces. The contract has now been signed at the Coblenz Federal Office for Bundeswehr Equipment, Information Technology and In-Service Support (BAAINBw). Delivery to the troops will begin in 2018 and be completed by the end of 2020. HERE is our story on this.
Ultramodern Bundeswehr from behind. Another group. Full optics package on the G36s (they hit) and Panzerfaust 3.
This is the command group supported by two light machine guns MG4.
Anti-tank defense is also needed.
Milan with gunner and commander. The whole thing is super detailed. "Pay attention to what you're doing guys, Uschi is watching..." - The good stuff still exists: MG3 as a support weapon. HERE is the Bundeswehr video introducing the Infantry of the Future system.
We knew it, the Bundeswehr is for sale... HERE you can get the whole Bundeswehr IdZ-Gladius COMBAT GROUP.
This is how the armored grenadiers go into battle, the Puma as a resin kit from Empress. You could actually buy more of them than the Bundeswehr has with 110 billion. But let's be modest: 2-3 are enough for the platoon ... HERE you can find the Puma.
