Yesterday it was still a post about the Russian hype that they had already shot down Leopards, then the moment came: a Russian drone video showing a Ukrainian tank column being attacked: including three Leopard tanks - probably 2A4. The first deployment video, so to speak, the first loss as well.
The tank column is deployed at Orichiw south of Zaporizhia, the Russians say. Here you can see two Leopards on the left - one on the way in the direction of travel with the cannon at 6 o'clock, the other positioned next to the forest - and 50 meters away another one is burning. The video footage below shows that it is a Leopard.
Another angle later, you can see the impacts of Russian artillery on the field that has just struck. However, the Leopard is already burning when the artillery hits. The white smoke could be from the Leopard's internal fire suppression system, a halon extinguishing system. The cause of the fire is not clearly visible.
The whole scene can be seen here: the direction of movement is to the right, the lead was formed by the Leopards, followed by a column of M113.
