US Army + RPG = ???

02/23/2015By Redaktion

The US Army has reviewed the RPG-7 from Airtronic USA as part of AEWE (Army Expeditionary Warrior Experiment) (on page 53). Originally, it should have said "tested", but since the warheads are (still exclusively) manufactured in Europe, they must be separately certified in the USA, which did not happen in a timely manner. So, the Army could distribute the RPGs but was not allowed to fire them. SOCOM allegedly had certified warheads already and was able to fire the weapon.
