We have nothing to hide. That's a good thing. Nevertheless, you don't have to leave everything lying around openly and can hide equipment or valuables. Hiding doesn't mean putting them under the pillow or mattress. That also works, but it's certainly not the best solution.
In the image above, a ventilation grid proves to be an equipment safe. Simply remove it, everything is there, at least as long as you can wall it in. It could also work in a box, but anyone curious searching your things would look there immediately.
In modern construction with plasterboard, it is easier to create hidden hiding places that look like something completely different: a socket, for example, that isn't one. It looks like a normal power source from the outside, but there is nothing behind it, at least no cable connection. If you unscrew the cover, you have a cavity that could hold valuables, for example.
If you can't or don't want to wall anything anymore, the door is a good place to find something. There is space for a hiding spot behind the cover for the lock installation. Tape and the undersides of tables or drawers are too obvious. Or open cans in a way that the lid fits back on seamlessly. Simply place it among your other supplies and your secret hiding spot is ready. Of course, there are also specially prepared cans available for purchase.
Another good hiding spot is the old-fashioned toilet tank. Depending on the design, you can place the items to be hidden directly in the tank, or behind the tank cover. One advantage of these covers is that they are usually quickly removable without tools.
The apartment or house offers you many hiding possibilities. We wish you happy searching.
