The Russian armed forces carried out a series of missile and drone attacks on Ukraine on the night of November 15-16.
The Ukrainian General Staff reports that the Russian armed forces fired 18 Shahed-131/136 drones, of which the Ukrainian forces destroyed 16. The Ukrainian Air Force states that the Russian armed forces launched S-300 missiles at the Kharkiv region, and that the Ukrainian forces destroyed a Kh-59 cruise missile over the Poltava region on the evening of November 15. Ukrainian Air Force spokesperson Colonel Yuri Ihnat reports on November 16 that the Russian forces deviated from their normal attack pattern and conducted the drone attacks until around 9:30 local time on November 16, instead of the usual time between 10:00 pm and 3:00-4:00 am. Captain Natalia Humenjuk, spokesperson for the Ukrainian Southern Operational Command, says that the Russian military has concentrated over 800 missiles, including Kalibr and Onyx missiles, on the occupied Crimea and intends to use all these missiles in winter 2023 against the Ukrainian energy infrastructure.
