Over hill and dale with Varusteleka

Due to the current pandemic, all marches and field exercises have been canceled, at least here in Finland. Therefore, Varusteleka has decided to start the "Varusteleka-Remote Military March" (VRMM). Simply put, each warrior carries out their march according to their guidelines and shares the fun on social media. This way, you can keep your backpack fitness in top shape and bring good vibes to these dark times.

All participants who complete the challenge and share it on social media will receive the coveted Varusteleka's Remote Military March Patch, and they are raffling 1 piece of 100€ gift card and 2 pieces of 50€ gift cards.

When: Sat 25th April 2020 - Sun 26th April 2020

Categories:

• Military: BDU, military boots, at least a 10 kg backpack from start to finish
• Open: No clothing and shoe requirements. At least a 10 kg backpack from start to finish
• Corona: Like military, but with a protective mask throughout the route. The mask can be removed for drinking and maintenance. ATTENTION! Please pay attention to your own fitness level and health condition. If you are unsure or have no experience marching with a mask, do not take this challenge.

Marching distances: 25 km or 50 km. Route of your choice, but the route should include both asphalt roads and terrain paths. The route should avoid areas that could be heavily crowded.

Code of conduct: Alone or in small groups and observing the necessary social distances. If possible, some form of trailing or GPS tracking would be nice. Share your experiences on social media using hashtags: #varusteleka #etäsotilasmarssi #remotemilitarymarch #ves #vrmm.
