Precision and accuracy are based, among other things, on an optimized trigger and its trigger weight. This is a goal that the US manufacturer Timney Triggers has set for itself with its complete range. The latest product from the American forge for high-quality triggers, available at Waffen Ferkinghoff in Germany, is a drop-in trigger specifically designed for the popular AR9 pistol carbine.
In line with the Timney tradition, this trigger is made of high-quality materials. The hammer, sear, and bridge are made of hardened steel, while the housing is milled from T6 aerospace-grade aluminum. Depending on the shooter's preference, the PCC Trigger is available with a straight or curved trigger shoe. Furthermore, there is a choice between the One-Stage Trigger with a 3lbs trigger weight or a Two-Stage Trigger with a two-phase trigger pull of 900 grams each.
However, for shooters of a pistol carbine, the Timney trigger has one disadvantage: it's too much fun. The trigger behavior is so convincing with its clean break and crisp reset that it takes noticeable effort to put the weapon down.
Timney now offers seven different triggers for the AR platform alone, in three different configurations with various trigger weights. Since 1946, the renowned US manufacturer has been producing triggers for bolt-action rifles and semi-automatics. There are now more than 170 models available. A clear overview of all models is available for free download as a poster from Ferkinghoff HERE.
