If the name STRASSER is not familiar to you, HERE is our article about the STRASSER RS 700. The Salzburg metal processor has been manufacturing not only firearms for generations but also various components for the aerospace industry. With so much expertise, it was only natural to create a suitable bipod for long range guns, incorporating useful features from existing models and leveraging years of experience with hunting and sport rifles.
The attention to detail, innovative ideas, and especially the focus on robust and high-quality materials gave rise to STRASSER's first bipod model, the STRASSER BONE – short for Bipod One.
Thanks to the use of high-strength carbon, the BONE weighs a sleek 270 grams (~9.5 oz), and the leg length can be adjusted in steps between 7.5 inches (approx. 19 cm) and 10.5 inches (approx. 27 cm).
The hardened steel tips provide excellent grip on loose ground and are surrounded by non-slip rubber feet, allowing the bipod to be used on indoor shooting ranges without damaging the corresponding surfaces and tables.
The bipod features three locking positions, with the 90-degree position being spring-loaded and allowing for traversing from right to left by about 20 degrees.
Currently, there are seven different adapters that allow the BONE bipod to be attached to a variety of firearms.
The BONE is compatible with practically all rifle models, and the mounting depends solely on the fore-end.
If the fore-end already features M-LOK, KeyMod mounts, or a Picatinny rail – as is the case with most modern sport, hunting, or law enforcement firearms – it is very easy to attach the BONE bipod. The adapters and bipod can be ordered independently, allowing the shooter to customize their setup. Multiple adapters can also be ordered if you wish to use the BONE interchangeably on various configured long guns.
Conveniently, the bipod can be detached from the adapter with one hand and does not necessarily have to remain mounted on a specific firearm.
The STRASSER BONE bipod is a lightweight, sturdy, and versatile companion for long guns, and its characteristics are best showcased on hunting rifles and lighter sport rifles. Except for the rubber feet and carbon tubes, all parts of the bipod are manufactured by STRASSER itself. This guarantees very high quality, which is always noticeable when using the bipod.
An example of the BONE bipod has been in use for almost a year on the STRASSER RS 700 owned by our friend MAJOR FINDING and has been providing excellent service during all shooting excursions. Therefore, if you are looking for a high-quality and lightweight bipod that also comes from Austrian production, you will definitely be very well served with the STRASSER BONE.
The STRASSER BONE is available directly from STRASSER starting at 378 EUR.
