A sniper rifle is only as good as the distance you can shoot accurately with it. The result is a combination of weapon and optics, ammunition, and the person using it. The result of a new acquisition for the Bundeswehr could be admired by us at SPARTANAT during a company visit to Bayreuth at Steiner Optics and subsequently tested on the range: The Haenel RS9 is the official G29, mounted with the new Steiner Military 5-25×56 riflescope. The German special forces have chosen this combination. 115 weapons with Steiner optics have been successfully delivered to the Bundeswehr. They are now being used by KSK and KSM. The background to this: During various foreign deployments of the German Bundeswehr, there was a need to replace the previous model G22. A corresponding order for the procurement of a new medium-range sniper rifle was then advertised by the Bundeswehr in 2014. The German traditional company C.G. Haenel GmbH from Suhl won this tender - the new G29 is equipped as standard with a Steiner Military 5-25×56 on an Era Tac mount from Recknagel.
The Steiner Military 5-25×56 with TReMoR3 reticle is an optical scope of the highest quality, designed for use on tactical and sniper rifles. High magnification and a high adjustment range allow for shooting distances over 1,500 meters. The 5-25x zoom makes the optics extremely versatile, while the 56 mm objective diameter provides excellent visibility even in adverse lighting conditions.
The TReMoR3™ reticle focuses on even faster shooting. The reticle allows for quick adjustment of windage and bullet drop. The MIL scale (1/10 MIL) allows the user to quickly estimate distances.
The Steiner Military riflescope is designed to uncompromisingly withstand any challenges in use. The outstanding optical performance with top-class light transmission well over 90 percent, as well as the legendary Steiner durability guarantee, make this riflescope a reliable premium precision optic for tactical and military use.

Since the 1950s, only binoculars and telescopic sights have been developed and produced at Steiner. Steiner develops optics for the areas of marine, hunting, bird, animal, and nature observation as well as active outdoor use. This absolute specialization, combined with decades of experience, allows the company to claim the rank of a world market leader and to continually maintain it. Thanks to increasing sales figures at home and abroad, but also in the military sector, Bayreuth can look back on a very successful business year. Full of initiative and innovation, the optics specialists from Bayreuth are looking confidently to the future to further strengthen their position in the market. The mood is good, to say the least.
