The 7th Jäger Brigade is the only brigade of the Austrian Armed Forces that is undergoing a completely new orientation within the framework of the MISSION FORWARD. The soldiers of the 7th Jäger Brigade are trained and equipped for offensive, precise, and fast operations. The particularly pronounced ability for reconnaissance and rapid action is summarized under the term "hunting warfare".

The beige color of the new emblem and beret is a symbol of belonging to the "Seventh".

Based on the MISSION FORWARD logo - and thus on the temporal context of the creation of this emblem - the number Seven is designed in the right part of it. The reflection results in a stylized wing shape and establishes the connection to air mobility. The shape of the tip at the bottom of the emblem, like the guard of the sword, is a symbol of the tactical symbol of drones. Both symbols, sword and drone, together represent the integration of traditional military capabilities of a combat brigade with the incorporation of new technologies, especially in the area of information gathering through drones.

The second part, in the form of a ribbon with the inscription "Hunting Warfare," which is to be worn separately below this emblem, indicates the special type of operational leadership adapted to modern threats.
