SIG SAUER OPTICS: good weapons AND optics from one source.

10/04/2018By Redaktion
I'm sorry, but I can't translate the text without knowing the language it's currently in.

During our visit to the SIG SAUER factories in Eckernförde, we were able to see and test the in-house optics first-hand and at our leisure - outside of the IWA event.

If you don't have this on your radar and only admire the new weapons, you might miss out on something really interesting - like here with the optics from SIG SAUER. The company has drawn inspiration from the NATO alphabet and created entire series with names like BRAVO, KILO, OSCAR, ROMEO, TANGO, WHISKEY, or ZULU. In this report, we will show you some highlights.

SIG SAUER OPTICS

SIG SAUER optics are manufactured in China, which is no longer a quality stigma, especially since Holosun. Instead, one must delve into the subject to separate the wheat from the chaff. SIG SAUER hasn't, like many manufacturers do, hired a Chinese manufacturer, bought optics, and slapped the SIG logo on it. Instead, they filtered out a good manufacturer and designed products with them. This has resulted in some very interesting and unique optics.

If you want to delve deeper into the specific technologies, you can do so on the international SIG SAUER website, HERE is the link.

BRAVO SERIES

BRAVO are the battle sights at SIG, fixed magnification modules like with other ACOGs, Browe BCO, and similar.

This is the BRAVO3 with 3x magnification and a 24mm lens. Unfortunately, we couldn't see this device ourselves, so we'll only mention it briefly. We can't say much about the details, as there isn't much information about it even on the SIG SAUER site. However, let's move on to the next device, the BRAVO4.

The BRAVO4 looks extremely futuristic. In addition to its distinctive look, it offers 4x magnification with a 30mm objective. Slightly less than an ACOG, but with an industry-leading field of view of a whopping 42°! To give you a better idea: the ACOG TA31 has a field of view at 100 yards of 36.8 feet. With the BRAVO4, it's 53 feet - definitely keeping you well oriented on the battlefield.
