SHOT Show 2022: True Velocity 6.8 for everyone

Ammunition is the projectile and casing in metal - that is confirmed knowledge for an area where there hasn't been much innovation for a long time. As part of the Next Generation Squad Weapon Program of the US Army, not only new weapons were requested, but also new, high-performance ammunition. TRUE VELOCITY provides a novel composite ammunition, with a casing made of plastic. From now on, the new 6.8TVC cartridge is available to everyone, at least in the USA. Whether and when this casing will make its way across the pond to us is not yet known.

True Velocity and BERETTA USA announced a strategic partnership on Wednesday to support potential weapon production as part of the NGSW project of the US Army. The weapon in the image is designed for the ammunition.
