Schmeisser HOLZHACKER Challenge

In cooperation with RUAG Ammotec Austria and Schmeisser, the international Schmeisser WOODCUTTER Challenge starts in the Styrian Zangtal and as a crown on top, the STWC BBQ party on June 23rd starting at 4:00 pm.

Registration start: from May 1st, 2018 and runs until June 20th at 12:00 pm.

FINAL: June 26th ~4:30 pm (the top four shooters)

Free chopping on Sat. from 5:00 pm: if you do not own a Schmeisser but a civilian StG from another manufacturer, you can test it for free during the "Free Chopping" after the official competition.

Registration start/Shooting instruction: 45 minutes before the start time, in the training room (former Shop Zangtal)

Procedure: Each session consists of a maximum of 32 people, competing in groups of 4. In each round, the goal is to chop a log with the Schmeisser AR15 as quickly as possible. For each round (up to four rounds), the last-placed contestant is eliminated, and the remaining shooters move on to the next round. The logs to be chopped are marked with a target point and chopped at a distance of 10m. The logs have a diameter of 5cm and are counted as chopped only when the severed end touches the ground. The groups are divided randomly.

The finalists of the four sessions (the top 4 shooters) will compete in the final round.

Meeting point: 15 minutes before the start time, at the training room (former Shop next to Pi-Hall)

Authorized weapons/ammunition/magazines: (rental weapons are available free of charge)

• all Schmeisser models
• Caliber requirement: .223Rem, FMJ (max. 4.2g), no TM or HP bullets allowed!
• any optics
• Magazine limit: max. 30 rounds per mag

Recommendation:

It is highly advantageous to zero in your own Schmeisser gun before the competition at 10m. This can be done at any time in the Pistol Hall/Zangtal. Zeroing the gun on the day of the competition is not possible for organizational reasons!

What to bring?

• Schmeisser AR15 (rental weapons available free of charge)
• at least 3 magazines (each with 30 rounds)
• safety flag (mandatory)
• at least 360 rounds (ammunition can be purchased on site if needed)
• ear protection + safety glasses (mandatory)
• for "Free Chopping" on Saturday: Your own StG

Entry fee: STWC Members €25; Non-Members €35

Participants opting for a rental weapon do not have to pay rental fees!

The award ceremony will take place on Saturday June 23rd after the final round at approximately 6:00 pm.

A Schmeisser AR15 will be raffled among all participants present during the award ceremony! In addition, valuable prizes and medals will be provided for the top finishers, and certificates for all participants.

As this is a competition for category B firearms, the rankings can be presented to the authorities in case of an extension.
