REVIEW: Zulu Nylon Gear Mega Admin Pouch

Commanders know the problem, for leading you need a lot of small items and maps - and usually easily accessible. So admin pouches were developed, but the standard sizes are usually too small. Zulu Nylon Gear offers with the Mega Admin Pouch, available at SNIPER AS, more than enough space for exactly these things. We took a closer look at it:Let's start with the back first before we delve into the inner qualities. Here the bag is very simple with its dimensions of approximately 25 x 18 x 5 cm. Simply many MOLLE rows to attach it to vests or backpacks using Malice Clips (which unfortunately are not included).

The front offers besides rubber loops for e.g. chemlights and a Velcro area two small closable compartments. One elongated, narrow one for magazines, flashlights, or a GPS device, and one square compartment with rubber loops. So what a typical admin pouch offers. The flap of the narrow compartment can be adjusted or removed with Velcro.

Under a two-way zipper, you come to the actual main compartment. The back wall is divided into three compartments, and in these compartments you will find quantities of rubber loops to hold everything in place. At the bottom, two D-rings are incorporated to secure items against loss. The front, where the previously discussed compartments are located outside, is lined with Velcro. In the picture, the map insert specially developed for this bag can be seen. However, all types of organizational systems can be Velcroed in. A drawstring and paracord are also visible, the purpose of which we will show you in the next picture.

The paracord is used to adjust the opening angle of the main compartment. A simple but ingenious solution. The front can sometimes become very heavy when the Mega Admin Pouch is fully loaded.

Here is the Map Insert unfolded again. For size comparison, we inserted a standard A4 sheet. The Map Insert is open on one side, and two hook-and-loop strips are sewn to the back. Actually a very simple construction.

CONCLUSION: This mobile office delivers what it promises: space for quantities of tactical navigation accessories of all kinds. Due to its considerable size, it is difficult to carry directly in front of the chest, but it fits easily on the abdomen, which then again creates the problem of laying down. Those who want to take a lot of small items into the field will have pure joy with it. The Map Insert is simple but practical. Unfortunately, the fastening materials must be purchased separately.
