REVIEW: ZENTAURON Plate Carrier Vulcan Minimal

"Slick" is what the American calls smooth plate carriers. These are usually intended as undershirts and therefore very practical because they are not fully loaded. At ZENTAURON, this plate carrier concept is called Vulcan Minimal.

This is what the Minimalist made in Germany looks like from the front. Our model is in CONCAMO - ZENTAURON also has plenty of pockets and other gear ready.

Let's start on the chest: Velcro for patches, but also for the manufacturer's company name.

Then it starts with vertical MOLLE loops...

...and continues with horizontal ones. Both are mounting options for belly bags or Micro-Chest Rigs. So, you can fully equip the Minimal for use.

This is also indicated by the Velcro area on the abdomen, which not only helps with the attachment of the cummerbund.

But it is also very practical. Simply pull it on, then the carrier is open.

On the shoulder, we have attached the buckle from a weapon sling, but we will present that separately.

The shoulder straps are Velcroed and not very cushioned. It doesn't need to be if the carrier is not a heavy load carrier.

There is also Velcro on the inside, for those who like it comfortable can attach comfort pads.

This is already the back, showing the sewn shoulder straps.

There is also Velcro on the back, whatever you want to communicate to your follower.

The back also differs from the front due to the flap.

It secures the Velcro cummerbund so that it definitely cannot come loose.

Here is the entire back view. The Vulcan Minimal is available in two sizes. This is also an exciting solution because they can be differently loaded. M can accommodate a SAPI plate up to 2 cm thick, L accommodates plate and soft armor.

The flexible cummerbund is extremely comfortable to wear and is also a practical equipment carrier.

This also comes in two sizes - with three or four cells. The size key for the carrier:

• Cummerbund 3 Mag =  85 cm to 100 cm
• Cummerbund 4 Mag = 100 cm to 115 cm

All in all, a small plate carrier that is quickly accessible.
