REVIEW: Toy Soldier 2586B-MP7 + Pouch Set

Who says MP7, must also say Chest Rig. With the Navy SEALs London Bridge Trading has had good success with its model LBT-2586B in the MP7 version and is seen more frequently. Since the AOR1 version of this rig is rather rare to find on the open market, there is a replica from Toy Soldier, which is anything but a toy. SPARTANAT has taken a look at this rig for you. The 2586B is a very simply designed model: a square panel sewn with MOLLE and an H-strap set. MOLLE on the straps, so you can attach a PTT or a strobe; side loops that serve as cable tunnels for the radio or as holders for chemlights. The panel itself has three sewn-in pockets, into which in this case MP7 magazines fit. There is also an M4 version, designed for their magazines. In the panel itself - you can pull it apart at the top because it is velcroed - there is a map pocket with a few loops to attach stuff. The fabric is original 330D Cordura and wonderfully light.

With the 2586B-MP7 Rig comes a whole set of pouches that can be attached with MOLLE. This creates a lot of storage space on the small lightweight. From left to right: two Utility Pouches, one Admin and one Radio Pouch, which holds an AN/PRC-148. Again, all solidly processed and on the back you can see the MOLLE loop system like London Bridge Trading with a rigid end piece. The fabric here is a bit firmer than the original.

The MP7 magazines do not simply land in the vest, but plastic inserts (original Kydex) are placed in the designated slots. Here it is plastic with velcro sewn on. In the middle you can see such a part. To the left of it, it is already folded. In the picture on the right, it has been mounted in the slot. Since there is velcro on both sides, it can be quite tricky. Small tip: Wrap the insert with paper, insert it, pull out the paper and it should fit.

CONCLUSION: The 2586B-MP7 from Toy Soldier is a perfect replica, which is superbly processed and also has the advantage that it was made from original AOR1 fabric. The rig itself is fascinatingly light and with the modular pouches it offers so much storage space that it is completely sufficient for use.
