REVIEW: TMC PCU Level 5 Softshell Jacket

ROAR! - That's how the tiger from the jungle roars, and as everyone knows, it has a good camouflage pattern on its fur. No wonder tiger stripes have been imitated many times and are worn as camouflage in Vietnam by Special Forces and many others. Just because it fits very well with the shadow casting in the jungle. This is the jacket from the back with the hood on: the tiger stripe here is one of several patterns already interpreted in Vietnam. Golden Tigerstripe is light green to light brown in color ("golden") and the dark stripes are really dark blue.

The sleeves can be tightened with Velcro straps at the ends, and built-in elastic bands ensure that it remains flexible.

On the sides and right there are large chest pockets with mesh lining. The zip opens from bottom to top.

The jacket is slightly over hip length, so it's about mid-butt level.

And it can also be tightened at the waist on the right and left.

The whole thing is made of Cordura Nylon. One downside is that only the outside is printed, the inner fabric is white. But that ultimately doesn't bother us.

CONCLUSION: If you like tiger stripes: extremely cool jacket with a pattern that can also work for civilian wear. Golden Tigerstripe looks great for everyday wear too, especially because this camouflage has such a unique color combination for the jungle. The jacket itself is excellently made. The size is more on the small, Asian side. We usually wear L, here an XL is needed, so one size up. Otherwise a super softshell, which is also a real eye-catcher in everyday life. With the blue stripe, it also goes great with jeans.
