Ruck & Bag

REVIEW: Tasmanian Tiger Officers Bag

01/18/2021By Redaktion

Another new year, so there are many new things from TASMANIAN TIGER again. First, let us introduce you to the Officers Bag, a practical bag for equipment transport.

In total, the Officers Bag offers you 58 liters of storage space and even a bit more. Because this figure only includes the front compartment and the main compartment. The Officers Bag overall measures 57 x 34 x 27 cm.

Behind this lockable two-way zipper hides the main compartment with its 48 liters of storage space.

The main compartment of the Officers Bag measures approximately 44 x 36 x 24 cm. The TASMANIAN TIGER Plate Carrier QR LC - HERE in our SPARTANAT Review - fits perfectly inside and there is still enough room for more equipment.

Details are better visible without content. On both sides, you have two double-row MOLLE Velcro strips available.

On the end faces, you will find an elastic slip pocket on each side. Very practical.

The lid offers you three zippered mesh pockets so that small items do not get lost.

On the outside, two elongated, flat compartments have been installed in the Officers Bag, the perfect place for documents. A4 sheets fit perfectly inside. The compartment is 38 cm long and 19 cm high.

Between the main compartment and the zippered side compartments, you have a Velcro compartment available in the Officers Bag. These are intended for storing the carrying handles, but other things fit well here too.

Speaking of carrying handles, these are made of 50 mm webbing on the Officers Bag and deliver what they promise.

On the end face, you will find two more compartments. One offers you 10 liters of volume and the beloved MOLLE Velcro. Interior organization is a pleasure like this.

The zipper can be opened almost all the way to the bottom. This allows you to always have a good view of the contents of the side compartment. It measures approximately 36 x 28 x 5 cm.

The opposite front compartment is equipped with a double zipper. I wonder what's inside there?

An IFAK pouch. This is included in the Officers Bag and a really good idea.

The IFAK pouch can be completely unfolded and is equipped with two clear compartments and two rubber bands. For those who carry a lot of small medical supplies like us, we recommend an additional organizer, otherwise everything will fly around chaotically.

But enough about the internal features, we now want to focus on the grip. On the ends you will find a sturdy carrying loop on each side of the Officers Bag. Very practical for pulling the Officers Bag out of the trunk.

In addition to the carrying handles, there are also shoulder straps with which the Officers Bag can be worn like a backpack.

On one side, the shoulder straps are attached with G-Hooks.

On the other side, they are attached with carabiner hooks. It's simple and works perfectly.

For those wondering where we got the shoulder straps from, there is a separate compartment in the lid for them. Of course, you can also store other things in this compartment if you want.

CONCLUSION: The new Officers Bag will carry your stuff well through the new year. A simple but very convincing design makes the Officers Bag a good everyday companion for transporting equipment in an organized way.

Here is the TASMANIAN TIGER Officers Bag in moving pictures.

The Officers Bag is available directly from Tasmanian Tiger for 180 Euros in Black, Olive, and Coyote Brown, and of course from all retailers that carry TASMANIAN TIGER.
