Who doesn't know this: the car is full of small items, but there is no space to store them in reach. Tasmanian Tiger has something for you, the Modular Front Seat Panel Set from their TacVec series. This brings order to the back of the front seat. We'll introduce it to you in detail today.
This is how you receive the panel, of course without the seat and without the Head Rest IFAK – READ more about it in the SPARTANAT Review HERE. You also have to provide the car yourself. The Modular Front Seat Panel offers a total of 7 x 10 Velcro PALS loops, so plenty of space to attach bags to it.
Thanks to the Velcro, bags and other organizational elements can be easily attached and quickly removed. If you want, you can also attach countless patches. You can never have enough patches, it can't be said often enough.
Also included in the delivery is a weapon holder. This consists of two strap holders and a quiver. All are looped onto the panel by PALS mounting.
There is also a strap and Velcro holder included, for those who prefer that. Here, it only needs to be looped around.
The quiver is made of non-slip rubber material and can be adjusted to fit the shape of the shoulder rest using Velcro.
It looks like this with a hunting rifle inside.
For the initial adjustment of the quiver and holder, it is recommended to be in pairs. One adjusts everything, the other has a supportive or holding role. We benefited from being able to work outside the car entirely.
Once everything is set, the gun sits stably in the holder. For the average citizen, this type of weapon transport is anything but legal – unless they live in Texas/USA –, but for a hunter in the field, it is certainly a possibility.
The quick-release fasteners are reminiscent of the old German ammunition magazine pouches.
A grab for the red strap and a firm pull, and the weapon comes down, better hold it with the other hand beforehand. Besides weapons, this also allows for quick storage of camera tripods, which would be legal for anyone.
The back of the Modular Front Seat Panel offers you 11 x 6 Velcro PALS loops. This allows you to mount the panel horizontally on the back seat.
The panel is equipped with a stiffening plate for the necessary stability. If you want, you can remove it, but that doesn't make much sense. We'll explain why below.
Attaching it to the seat is quick and simple. Place the short strap above the neck rest and click the buckle, then the panel is hung. For mounting the Modular Front Seat Panel horizontally, a second short strap is included. These are simply threaded through the slots in the edge areas.
To prevent the Modular Front Seat Panel from swinging uncontrollably, there is a long fastening strap that is stretched around the bottom of the seat. Again, connect and tighten and secure any excess lengths.
Here is the attachment point of the long strap in detail. Simply insert the Triglide through the slot.
