REVIEW: TARDIGRADE Quantum Duty Belt

Reinforced belts are great, but the reinforcement also brings some challenges when storing them. TARDIGRADE TACTICAL have taken a close look at Duty Belts and the result is their Quantum Duty Belt, which truly represents a quantum leap. We'll tell you why.

At first glance, the Quantum Belt looks like a normal, 5 cm wide tactical belt, just without MOLLE/PALS on the outside.

Well, not exactly, the slots you can see in the image are vertical MOLLE loops, six in total on each side.

They can also be used as slots for cable ties and handcuffs, very practical.

The Quantum Belt has the same curvature as the associated MICRON inner belt, which we have already introduced to you HERE. This allows it to better conform to the user's body during use.

On the inside, the Quantum is equipped with hook and loop, allowing it to form an almost inseparable unit with the inner belt and prevent any shifting.

The Quantum is closed with a buckle, or alternatively with a Cobra buckle, as seen in the image.

But what makes the Quantum so special? It does have MOLLE loops for mounting pouches.

The hook and loop inside is slotted in a MOLLE grid.

MOLLE pouches can be laced traditionally here. However, due to the 5 cm width of the Quantum, not all pouches can be easily closed. The pouches from TARDIGRADE TACTICAL have an additional slot, allowing for easy installation.

The second special feature of the Quantum Duty Belt is the stiffening itself. It is divided into three sections and not continuous.

The stiffening strips are included and can be inserted into the compartments between the belt and Velcro according to preference. This way, you can determine for yourself where you prefer the belt to be soft or stiff. It may not sound like much at first, but in practice, it is very practical.

Due to this three-part stiffening, there are two points on the belt that are never stiffened. This allows the Quantum Belt to fold easily at those points.

As a result, the Quantum Belt can be folded very small, which is usually somewhat difficult with stiffened belts.

Works with pockets attached, very compact when folded.

CONCLUSION: A real quantum leap in the field of duty belts, as we believe. The Quantum Duty Belt is extremely comfortable to wear due to the sophisticated stiffening system. Thanks to the concealed MOLLE system, it is very slick on the outside and minimizes unintended snagging.
