REVIEW: T.O.R.D. Windblock Fleece Hoody AR

OUTRIDER? Who is she? - Someone pretty unknown whom we think you should get to know. We treated ourselves to their Windblock Fleece Hoody AR.

Fleece jackets are versatile and practical: underneath and on top, standalone or as a mid-layer. The T.O.R.D. Windblock Fleece Hoody AR is designed as a jacket that can be worn without a layer on top. And it does that very well. The cut is classically efficient, the fabric excellent.

Important: a high collar that protects the wearer in wind and weather. Here you can see the zipper with zipper pull and the adjustment option for the hoodie.

The hoodie is large and roomy and sits well on the shoulders. Worn like this, it also covers the neck so that there is no draft from above.

Worn over the head, it hides the whole head, but you can also adjust it tightly so that the hood moves closely with the head and the field of vision is not too restricted.

When it's nice out, you can wear the jacket open. The T.O.R.D. Windblock Fleece Hoody AR has a pleasing cut that is reminiscent of the classic hoodies in the scene. The material is convincing. Some fleece jackets are not windproof, which is disappointing. This one is. The fleece is also slightly thicker and performs well, especially if you want to wear the jacket as a standalone piece.

The details: Naturally Velcro on the sleeves so you can wear your patches.

Inner pocket on the upper sleeve with mesh, which you could also use for temperature regulation if you wear the T.O.R.D. Windblock Fleece Hoody AR in sunny weather.

The sleeves are reinforced, which is the high-wear area for the jacket. This way, the fleece stays undamaged.

At the sleeve cuffs, you can tighten everything with a Velcro strap. Or wear it open if possible.

Built-in air conditioning: chunky zipper under the arms.

The length of the jacket is slightly below the waist. This is understandable because it can be easily combined with a hardshell. In our opinion, it could be a few centimeters longer because we would prefer to wear this hoody without a jacket over it.

CONCLUSION: We love fleece jackets. And that's because our love is reciprocated here. The T.O.R.D.
