REVIEW: Surefire SC1 Spares Carrier

03/29/2014By Redaktion

No, that's not a sneaky landmine. It's something that helps you be well prepared for emergencies, as long as you have the right flashlight. The SC1 Spares Carrier is a small, compact case from Surefire that holds spare parts for your flashlight (pictured here with a Surefire Nitrolon G2).

This is the SC1 Spares Carrier opened up. In the center is the spare lamp: P60, P60L, P61, P90, P91, R30, R60, MN01, MN02, MN03, MA02 from the Surefire models fit in here. Around the lamp, you can see six of the commonly used military CR123A batteries, which are less common for civilians. It's important to have a few of these on hand if you're a fan of Surefire flashlights.

Looking at the bottom: all very solid, impact-resistant construction. It has a sealing ring to keep moisture out. With the strap included, you can secure the spare parts case in a bag or wear it around your neck as a primitive accessory (but it will definitely get noticed).

CONCLUSION: A useful accessory that keeps spare lamp and batteries compact and secure in one place. This way, small parts won't be scattered around your bag.

The Surefire SC1 Spares Carrier costs 20 US dollars directly from Surefire.
