Where are the batteries gone again? Somewhere lost in the depths of the backpack. Ideally, then discharged as well ... that can't be. There are various solution approaches for this, usually unfortunately in a way that the battery is well packed in terms of water and air tightness, but the container takes up too much space and then usually can't hold as many batteries. Storacell doesn't offer a waterproof solution, but we still find this approach to be the best.
The battery cases are available in various designs and colors. They come in muted colors like the black, gray, or olive one presented here - but also in signal colors like yellow, orange, or glow-in-the-dark.
We tested containers for the battery types we use most frequently. Our cases are for four CR123 batteries, four AA batteries, and six AAA batteries.
The batteries or rechargeable batteries are inserted into the container from the top. The bottom is almost completely closed to prevent the battery from slipping through. Nevertheless, the battery can be pushed up with a pen or similar tool.
But this can also be done without tools: There is enough space on the side to place a finger and lift the battery out.
The top of the battery is also slightly recessed to prevent contact with other objects.
All you need now is a waterproof bag and the batteries are stored flat and securely.
If you want to store more batteries in addition to the slimline version, you can also opt for double-row containers.
Combinations of various battery types are also possible.
The containers are available for the following battery types:
You can choose the size from four batteries up to twelve batteries, depending on the type.
Unfortunately, there are no containers for button cells like the CR2032. We have found a clever solution for this:
Simple, ingenious, and cheap: Contact lens case. Here, with thin foam inserts in between, four to five CR2032 batteries fit.
CONCLUSION: Storacell cases are a cost-effective and particularly lightweight solution to store or transport batteries efficiently, flatly, and securely. Add a waterproof bag to extend the protection to 100%.
Storacell battery cases are available at Spezial-Depot starting from 5 euros in various sizes and colors. Check them out.
