Ever since Tom Clancy, we know that Slingbags are great. Worn over the left shoulder, as a right-hander you have the other shoulder free for your weapon - which wouldn't be the case with a backpack. Plus, you have quick access to the contents because you don't have to set the Slinger down, you just pull it forward. This is especially handy when you need to quickly get in and out of vehicles, as the pack is already on you and just needs to be spun around to the back. Today we are showing you the S.O. Tech Extended Go Bag.S.O. Tech may not have invented the Slingbag, but the tubular design is definitely on their account. It is designed for vehicle or helicopter crews to function as a "Go Bag". A Go Bag? It is a bag that contains all the necessary items to be quickly on the go. In the military for example, the Go Bag is supposed to lie behind the seat due to its tubular design and be quickly accessible. The name reveals it: The Extended Go Bag is an evolution of the Go Bags. It measures approx. 48.2 cm x 13.9 cm x 15.2 cm and is overall the compact version of the Extended Go Bag presented here. For the sake of completeness - there is also a third Go Bag, which is less known. This one is Made to order (so it is not stocked). Here you add another 8.9cm in length, and the whole thing is called Go Bag double extended. With dimensions of 55.8cm x 13.9cm x 16.5cm, it is only slightly larger than the compact version, but this can be advantageous especially for weapon transport - but more on that later. What else distinguishes the model? You can actually see it at first glance: the small one has three attached outer pockets, the Extended has only two. However, these are also significantly longer, measuring 20.3cm x 11.4cm x 8.8cm compared to 13.9cm x 12.7cm x 7.6cm in the smaller version. Here you can store Medic Gear, other equipment, or magazines. If you use M4 magazines, four of them can fit side by side. In the Extended version, however, there is still plenty of space below or above. The top pocket has a patch field on the outside, both can be operated with a zipper and Paracord.

The same applies to the hidden pockets that go along the entire side wall. There are two on each side, sharing a long two-way zipper. These are best suited for flat objects. On top of these pockets, both Go Bags have a bit of MOLLE: 3×3 rows are at the top and bottom on both sides. Both the top and bottom of the Slinger have a carrying handle that makes pulling it forward quick and easy. A Loadlifter Strap runs through the handle at the top, ending on the shoulder. The handle on the bottom can be fixed in the middle with Velcro.

The system's wearer consists of a strap that is wide and padded in the shoulder area. At the front, you'll find three rows of MOLLE with two loops each. On the wide shoulder piece, there is webbing sewn on, which can be loosened and adjusted with a large Fastex closure. Next is the main compartment. It is only accessible when you remove the Slinger - located on the backside. The opening is horizontally secured with a strip of velcro, as you can directly open the compartment with the zippers running on the right and left. The zippers are connected with a tab that can be separated with velcro. When the main compartment is open, you have access to the entire contents. The side walls, back wall, and front flap are equipped with a wide velcro strip to attach additional equipment.
