REVIEW: Prometheus Design Werx S.H.A.D.O. Pack 28 Liter

This gentleman is the head of Prometheus Design Werx (PDW) and was previously instrumental in designing the products and designs of Triple Aught Design, formerly T.A.D. Gear. The first backpack from PDW is the S.H.A.D.O. Pack - we have tested it for you. S.H.A.D.O. stands for Suspension, Haul, Access, Durability, Organized. Suspension and Haul refer to the carrying system and its upgrade capability. By default, there isn't much in terms of a carrying system: a mesh pad with a flat recess in the middle, shoulder straps with a chest strap, a thin hip belt, and that's about it. The basic equipment is designed appropriately for a 28 liter backpack and is focused on "quick and light." The shoulder straps are wide, lightly padded, and have 11 horizontal MOLLE loops for attaching equipment and the chest strap. The hip belt is a simple 50mm webbing with a buckle - it is only for securing the backpack and does not provide any load transfer. If you want more, you have to pay more: the optional accessories to ensure carrying comfort with load include a wide hip belt with MOLLE loops (seen in the image) and a framesheet.
