REVIEW: PAC-MAG Magnetic gun holder

04/14/2022By Redaktion

There are accessories that always surprise us that they exist. One of these parts comes from Pachmayr in the USA and is called "Pac-Mag Gun Concealment Magnet". Americans love - and are allowed - to carry or store their weapons concealed somewhere. The legal basis is quite different in our area. Nevertheless, this magnet holder has its justification.

The Pac-Mag in its packaging. Quite plain and the pictures already reveal what it's about.

Also included in the delivery are fastening materials. A strip of mounting tape, a few different length drywall screws, and two hollow wall/plasterboard plugs. In the USA, houses are mostly built of drywall. Here, you will definitely need a plug to get the screws into the wall. In our opinion, the tape looks the most promising.

The Pac-Mag consists of three really strong magnets and everything is covered with a 2 millimeter thick rubber skin. This protects the finish of your weapon. A solid construction in itself.

The principle of operation is simple. Simply attach the Pac-Mag and you can store up to three pistols side by side. Especially in the gun cabinet, we see the potential for this magnet holder.

With the power of three magnets, even the long gun holds extremely well. Those who have pimped their gun cabinet interior - like we did HERE - can surely bring good order to their lives with a few spacers.

CONCLUSION: There is nothing that doesn't exist. This is surely the first thought that comes to mind when you see the Pac-Mag magnetic holder for the first time. Upon closer inspection, however, there are practical applications for it even in our region.

The Pachmayr Pac-Mag is available from various gun dealers (e.g. Ferkinghoff, Frankonia) starting at 25 euros
