REVIEW: Nextorch WL10X Weapon Light

So far, we have only shown you regular flashlights from NEXTORCH, today we want to introduce a simple but effective weapon light from NEXTORCH, the WL10X Executor.

That all sounds pretty good so far. The shape of the WL10X is very straight. By unscrewing the lamp head, you can access the battery compartment. It is powered by a CR123A, not the cheapest option in Germany.

The integrated mount can be adjusted well. The crossbar can also be moved so that it fits perfectly on the trigger guard of your pistol. Simple, but well solved, we must acknowledge.

The necessary clamping tension is adjusted by a small left-handed threaded screw. But don't worry, everything is well labeled.

The WL10X is overall a very slim lamp, thanks to only using one CR123A battery.

The operation is done through a toggle switch. The paddles stand out farther compared to other lights. This has pros and cons.

The advantage is that you are guaranteed to hit the switch, which is also a disadvantage as accidental triggering is more likely. It is also difficult to find a suitable holster. Of course, you can have one custom made: Black Trident can be recommended as a Kydex forge.

To prevent accidental activation, a slide safety has been installed on the Nextorch WL10X. It locks in place well and serves its purpose. However, do not forget to unlock the light before use. We have not seen this feature in any other weapon light.

To activate the WL10X, simply press the rocker switch down and the light will turn on. You need to press the lever down about 2mm for "Momentary On". Yes, we know, you shouldn't use your trigger finger for that. We only did it for the photo because the thumb on the other side covers the lever and you wouldn't be able to see anything.

For continuous light, the shooter must continue to press the lever until a noticeable click is heard. This path is relatively long at around 5mm. Sounds little, but feels far. After a short period of getting used to it, it is not noticeable anymore and the WL10X is easy to operate.

We really like the light cone. The WL10X offers you a focused spot with a pleasantly bright edge area.

Especially indoors, the WL10X does not blind you much, but provides good visibility in the shooting field.

CONCLUSION: A simple, but very functional and sufficiently bright pistol light. The WL10X Executor from Nextorch reliably does what it is supposed to do. And all this at an extremely pleasant and affordable price.
