REVIEW: Mini SOCP®Dagger by BENCHMADE®

Greg Thompson is a Martial Arts Instructor and the creator of SOCP® (Special Operations Combatives Program). He has designed a knife and developed corresponding tactics and techniques for it. The knife is a "Last Ditch Defense", meant to defend oneself in the shortest distance and tightest spaces of Close Quarter Battle. To create distance between oneself and the opponent, either to escape and/or to switch to primary weapon. SPARTANAT has already presented a review of the SOCP® Dagger and now the more compact version of the previously known SOCP® knife.

The Mini SOCP® Dagger is manufactured by the US company BENCHMADE®. The dagger comes with a plastic sheath.

The black-coated single-piece dagger with stainless steel 440C finger ring (58-60HRC). Overall length 158.8 mm, grip thickness 4.55 mm, weight 49 grams.

The double-edged Spearpoint blade on the Mini SOCP® Dagger has a length of 56.4 mm. The blade finish is Cerakote®.

The finger ring has a grooved texture at the end. This grooving is milled into all models of the SOCP® knives from BENCHMADE®.

So that the grooved finger ring doesn't press too much into the wearer's flesh and is more comfortable to wear and grip, the Mini SOCP® Dagger comes with a leather pad.

The plastic sheath comes with a grippy J-Hook.

The Mini SOCP® Dagger can be carried concealed. Whether in casual wear or a suit, the sheath stays in place.

The plastic sheath is slim and sleek, making it MOLLE/PALS compatible.

Thanks to its flat design, the primary weapon can be operated flawlessly with the Mini SOCP® Dagger in hand. This was also the main idea behind the development of the SOCP® knives.

CONCLUSION: The Mini SOCP® Dagger from BENCHMADE® is a compact backup knife. Due to its construction, the dagger can be carried concealed carry wonderfully. With its compact overall length, the fixed Mini SOCP® Dagger is easy to carry and comfortable to hold at the same time.
