REVIEW: Inforce Automatic Pistol Light White

Action "Light in the Dark" can be an expensive affair. There are plenty of weapon lights available in the highest quality. Inforce has entered a well-stocked market with its Automatic Pistol Light (APL) White, available at ACT IN BLACK, and provides a small, simple, and very efficient solution to the question of how to bring light into tactical darkness.

One thing that stands out - looking at the APL from the left - is the shape. Many others are round and curved in the housing, but Inforce has opted for a very angular solution where, at first glance, one might think: well, that doesn't look pretty. But that is surely a matter of habit. Just like the fact that the APL is made of plastic...

The APL from above: The mount has changed over time. Previous versions had a clip that seemed to break quite easily. Now it is screwed on and holds very securely.

And two metal pieces on the plastic bomber stand out: They are adapters for the Picatinny Rail. One is already inserted here and the second part is the spare. Because Inforce knows: what can be lost, will be lost.

Here, for example, on a Glock, the adapter is not needed because the slot on the weapon is tighter than on a rifle rail. The APL is intended for the pistol, but it can surely serve both purposes.

The operation is very simple: The APL has two wings at the end, which are the switches. Light pressure with the fingertip results in temporary light; pressing firmly once - light remains on. The APL emits 200 lumens, ideal for weapon use in darkness. Action "Light in the Dark" very successful.

This is what the APL looks like disassembled: The light head is also the lock. It is powered by CR123A, which lasts for about 1.5 hours.

CONCLUSION: A small, compact weapon light for the pistol that works reliably and efficiently. Highly recommended and ultimately at a good price.
