REVIEW: Haley Strategic D3CRM Micro Chest Rig

Micro-Rigs are so trendy that even Haley Strategic (HSP) didn't want to miss out on entering the race with the next version, the D3CRM. At the beginning of the trend there was also Haley Strategic: the D3CR - HERE in the SPARTANAT Review. Then it got a Heavy version as an addition - for 7.62mm shooters. D3CRX simplified the front panel to four identical and universally usable pistol magazine pockets. With the D3CRM, HSP continues the Micro trend and, like competitor Spiritus Systems (whose Micro Fight Chest Rig HERE in the SPARTANAT Review) and possibly also in reaction to him - opts for a universal belly load. Let's take a detailed look at it with you.

Looks like a big pocket in front of the belly, and ultimately it is.

The magic is the interior with various inserts that adapts the D3CRM for different calibers. The smaller the caliber, the more magazines. Here we see a loaded AR15 magazine, two spots are empty.

This is what the manufacturer's image shows: a Velcro strip on top, underneath are the plastic clips of the HSP MP2's. They hold the magazine or a tool in place.

In front of the magazine pocket is a single large admin compartment, one side lined with Velcro, the other with loops made of stretch material. This allows you to attach your own Velcro patches or use the loops as equipment attachments.

This is what a DE3CRM looks like, configured with the Micro 556 Triple Mag Insert and fully loaded.

Those opting for a heavy caliber need a Micro 762 Insert. They come individually, two of them fit in the D3CRM.

Submachine gun shooters need the Micro SMG Insert, allowing for four magazines from MP5 to MPX, etc.

On the right and left of the D3CRM there is a pocket, which can be used for pistol magazines as well as for a multitool or a flashlight, for example.

The small Chest Rig is worn very easily: the strap system attaches on the sides with two clips.

The lower one is the waist strap, the upper one leads to the shoulder straps.

Haley Strategic strategically opted for a classic X-system at the front, which has proven itself even with older models.
