REVIEW: Gamsbokk Mountain High ZIPPOFF Multicam Black

We see black … No, even better: Multicam Black. And let's be honest: Multicam Black is the new black. And GAMSBOKK has built what we consider to be the ideal "little black dress" for us, the Mountain High ZIPPOFF in a limited edition, which you can now purchase fresh.

This is how they promote their product. The pants are, as the name suggests, long pants that can be unzipped at the legs. Then you have a pair of shorts. Ideal for all seasons. The Mountain High ZIPPOFF is a regular pants by GAMSBOKK. The Multicam Black is available only now. As long as supplies last, as they say.

Let's start from the back: Two back pockets are included, closed with a conspicuous flap.
Both are shown here. The flap is secured with two snap buttons each.

We like to wear slim belts. But the belt loop is wide enough to comfortably accommodate a wide riggers belt as well.

At the front, where the leg zippers are stored, GAMSBOKK opts for a zipper that can be opened classically from the top and has a practical opening width for everyday use.

We naturally carry pocket knives. The pants have a heavy fabric, but no reinforced corners for carrying knives.

On the right side, we discover a detail on the pants that looks familiar. The zipped "secret compartment" is normally found on UF-PRO pants. And we're not revealing too much if we simply say: GAMSBOKK comes from the same factory as UF-PRO and has the same high quality.

The Mountain High ZIPPOFF features two front thigh pockets. Side view: you can clearly see the placement of the thigh pockets. The path of the flexible 4-Way-Stretch from Schöller is also visible, starting above the buttocks, going down the side and ultimately taking over the strip over the knees.
The flaps on the thigh pockets are also clipped. But there is also a zipper.

No, there are even two: this is beneficial when you're sitting in the car. Then you only need to open the zipper where your fingers can reach, and you can reach into the pocket without having to stand up.

On the outer edge of the right thigh pocket - not visible here - there is a special feature: you can unzip the pants by about 20 cm. Lined with mesh, the Mountain High ZIPPOFF has ventilation for hot days. Good idea!

Speaking of hot days: that's when you unzip the legs! A zipper all around separates what the tailor and God have joined together.

The short pants are knee-length without the lower leg.

CONCLUSION: Great pants! And UF-PRO quality, but from GAMSBOKK. With Multicam Black, it's the ideal EDC for your urban survival. But it also looks good on the dance floor as well as at the mountain summit. Although it was made for the latter. As mentioned before: the Multicam Black Edition is limited and available only now.
