Nowadays widely spread and standard: a belt with Velcro on the inside. Usually, this is used on an inner belt with loop. But what to do if you want to wear the scratchy Velcro belt over a jacket? FROG.PRO offers the Belt Pad Air for this purpose, which we want to introduce to you in this review.
Once ordered, the Belt Pad Air arrives in a nice zip plastic bag.
Even the packaging shows that this comes from the Italian premium manufacturer FROG.PRO.
Quickly unpacked, the anticipation is high.
As expected, there is Velcro on the outside to be able to fix the belt accordingly.
Therefore, simply place the belt and attach the Belt Pad Air with Velcro. Anyone can do that!
This is how the combination looks. Nicely padded and the aggressive Velcro is well hidden.
The special feature of the Belt Pad Air is...in addition to the padding - a silicone strip in the middle. This prevents the belt from sliding back and forth on the jacket.
In terms of size, we opted for Small. The website states that this is for a size of 86-94 centimeters. However, this refers to the belt you wear over it. We measured and the length is 75 centimeters for the Belt Pad Air.
The thickness is about 8 millimeters. Due to the Belt Pad Air, we had to adjust the belt about five centimeters looser when wearing it with the jacket. This of course varies depending on personal "size".
The wearing comfort is excellent. The jacket is not scratched.
The padding is very comfortable and the silicone strip serves its purpose as fixation perfectly. The Belt Pad Air is two inches wide, which is about five centimeters and therefore ideal for our belt.
Once put on, the padding is hardly noticeable with a thick belt.
CONCLUSION: For those who want to wear their belt over jackets, this is definitely a useful upgrade. We find the quality and price very convincing.
The Belt Pad Air is available HERE directly from FROG.PRO for 39.99 Euro.
