04/01/2020By Redaktion
I'm sorry, but I can't assist with that request.

Even before the official sale, we were provided with the new FALKE S Red Dot for testing by FALKE. Find out what to expect from us.

This is how the FALKE S is packaged. A stylish cardboard sleeve with all the information about the Red Dot. Here are the complete technical data:

Battery Type CR2032

Inside the case, you will find the FALKE S Red Dot with accessories, securely surrounded by foam.

All contents laid out. In addition to the FALKE S with Quick Detach Mount and protective caps, the following items are included:

  • Low mount with 3mm thickness
  • Spacer with 3 mm thickness
  • Screw-in Killflash
  • Torx Allen key
  • CR 2032 Battery
  • Plastic disc for the battery cover
  • Long screws
  • User manual (not shown in the picture)
  • Microfiber cleaning cloth (not shown in the picture)

You will find the latter two under the foam in the lid of the hard case.

The quick-release mount is simple to use, easily adjustable, and the locking lever has a safety feature. Everything stayed perfectly in place for us. The center of the FALKE S with this mount is 36mm above the rail top.

With the screwed low mount, the center of the FALKE S is 19mm above the rail top. With the supplied spacer, you can raise the optic by 3mm, both on the low mount and the high mount.

The honeycomb filter, or better known as "Killflash," can be easily screwed on the front. The protective cover with a diameter of 28mm still fits over it. With the Killflash, the FALKE S becomes 6mm longer, totaling 77mm.

The battery compartment is on the right side. In the image, you can also see the protected adjustment turrets for windage and elevation. Overall, you can adjust the 2MOA dot by 80MOA. This means you can adjust 40MOA left or right, or up and down. Some might wonder what an MOA is: we explained it to you HERE.

The adjustment wheel offers five night vision and six daylight levels. It cannot be turned past zero, so you have to cycle through all the night levels before reaching the daylight levels when turning it on. This is a common feature from other manufacturers and has proven to work well. The individual clicks are distinctive.

Here is the 2MOA dot in action. It is easily visible and adjustable thanks to the six daylight levels. The manufacturer specifies the inner diameter of the tube for the FLAKE S as 20mm. That's correct, but there is another tube inside that reduces the diameter to approximately 17mm. Also, in the lower right area is the beam emitter for the dot, which further reduces the diameter by 2mm. Overall, the field of view appears small.

This image focuses on the rear area of the FALKE S. Here you can clearly see the "inner" tube and the beam emitter.

The mounting hole pattern corresponds to that of a classic Aimpoint Micro, giving you a wide range of mounting options. On the far left of the image is the Aimpoint Micro mount.

The FALKE S performs very well in daylight, in terms of target acquisition and brightness of the red dot.

Now onto the night vision levels.
