In our First Look of the FALKE S D-POL, we have already explained to you what improvements have been made compared to the previous model. Now, let's take a closer look at the optical sight. The FALKE S D-POL in the picture is the official version, easily recognizable by the Thuringian coat of arms. The civilian version that we're presenting to you does not have this coat of arms, but is otherwise identical in every aspect.
This is how the FALKE S D-POL is packaged. A stylish cardboard sleeve with all the information about the Red Dot. Here is an overview of all the technical data:

Inside the case, you will find the FALKE S Red Dot along with accessories, securely cushioned by foam.
All the contents laid out. In addition to the FALKE S with mount and protective covers, the following items are also included:
The new mounting system is simple to use, easy to secure and tighten. With this mounting system, the center of the FALKE S is located 38 mm above the rail's top surface.
The mounting system is designed so that the iron sights (depending on the weapon type) can still be used.
The battery compartment is on the right side. In the picture, you can also see the protected adjustment turrets for windage and elevation very well. Overall, you can adjust the 2MOA dot by 80MOA. This means 40MOA left or right and up and down. Some may wonder what an MOA is, so HERE we have explained it to you.
The adjustment wheel offers five night vision options.
... and six daylight levels. You cannot skip past zero, so you will have to scroll through all the night levels first when turning on until you reach the daylight levels. This is something common with other manufacturers and has proven to be effective. The individual notches are noticeable.
Here is the 2MOA point in action. It is easy to see and thanks to the six daylight levels, it is also quite adjustable. In the lower right area, there is the emitter for the dot where you lose another 2 mm in diameter. Overall, this makes the field of view look smaller. The FALKE S D-POL makes a very solid impression in daylight when it comes to target acquisition and the brightness of the red dot.
By the way, the bore pattern matches that of a classic Aimpoint Micro, so you have a wide selection of mounts available.
Now onto the night vision levels. In order to demonstrate this, we have set up a PVS 14 with Gen2+ tube and an Amber filter behind it. Don't be surprised if the images are not green, but rather yellowish, this is the effect of the Amber filter. The dot in the center is clearly visible. The five levels are sufficient. And if the dot is still not easy to see, you can always switch up to the first daylight level. The glass's light transmission combined with the night vision device is very good and definitely very useful.
Here is the red dot of the FALKE S in action in dim light. The red dot does its job.
CONCLUSION: The FALKE S D-POL Red Dot is a successful evolution of the classic FALKE S. It's no wonder that the Thuringian police chose it. The FALKE S D-POL is a solid choice and a good aiming device.
The FALKE S D-POL Red Dot will soon be available at all retailers carrying Falke products, with a recommended retail price of 369 euros. For more information, visit FALKE-Germany.
