A fixed blade knife with Kydex sheath and adaptive quick release for 50 to 60 euros? What can that be?
Recently we reviewed the SEAL knife from Enforcer HERE. Since we liked that one, we decided to take a look at another variant. The Enforcer FDF MD.Just like the SEAL, it comes in a simple brown packaging. Very basic yet sufficient.
Once opened, you can see what's inside. Knife, Kydex sheath, and of course a nice paracord lanyard.
The Kydex sheath is separate, the knife tip is protected by a plastic cover, and there is also a cardboard covering over the blade to keep its sharpness during transport.
The knife fits perfectly in the Kydex sheath and makes a satisfying click when inserted. This ensures it sits securely. Even with vigorous shaking, the knife did not fall out. Safety is key.
The back side. You can see the ABS quick release mechanism screwed onto the Kydex. More on that later.
The knife placed on the sheath. It is well made and the Kydex is cut to fit perfectly. The blade shape is the classic Spearpoint.
First time holding it. Feels good and well balanced. The handle scales are in Flat Dark Earth color and made of G10. This is a fiberglass fabric hardened with epoxy resin.
A firm grip. Fits well. The test hand wears size 8 gloves. For larger hands, the handle might be a bit small. Technical data for the Enforcer FDF MD:
The steel is nothing extraordinary, but not bad either. You can see that the handle is secured with hex screws.
The other side features the Enforcer name. The entire blade is black-coated.
The sharpness out of the box is excellent. Paracord can be effortlessly cut.
Another close-up, this time from the bottom. You can see that the handle pieces don't go all the way to the edge and the corners are rounded. Therefore, a fire steel can only be used with the direct blade.
At the end of the handle is the loop for paracord.
Simple and plain paracord. Some beads or a nice knot can greatly enhance it.
One particularly practical feature is the belt clip, a Tech-Lok, which can be individually adjusted. No matter how you want to carry the knife, whether vertically or horizontally, the clip
