Nothing boosts combat power like a little nap. And nowhere do you learn to sleep so well as in the army. The warrior manages to power nap in every position and situation. During break, in position, on a moving truck, ... However, there are better and more comfortable ways to sleep. If your home spring mattress doesn't spoil you, at least get a decent camp bed. Disc-O-Bed has reinvented the good thing. Today we also present the Sol-O-Cot, the single-person version of this camp bed.
The Sol-O-Cot comes in a practical carrying bag. You can't quite tell that it weighs 13 kilograms. The dimensions when packed are 85 by 15 by 26 centimeters, all together in this bag that is good and securely stowable.
Most classic camp beds are foldable. This one has a very peculiar system and is assembled or disassembled after use.
Here are the first parts from the bag. On the right, the upper half for the foot and head ends, packed along with the legs on the left. The separation makes sense because there is also the two-story bunk bed, which we will introduce to you soon.
The rest is: KISS - keep it simple stupid. Simply plug together.
The sides of the bed consist of solid tubes, which are included in two separate parts.
Like I said. KISS. Simply plug together!
The mattress of the bed is a PVC-coated polyester mat, which folds into the carrying bag. Simply place it on top ...
The lying surface is 70.5 by 195 centimeters. If the fabric gets dirty, you can wipe it clean and the washing machine likes it too.
Now we get to the point where we understand why this thing is called "Dic-O-Bed". No, not as originally assumed, because you can fall in drunk after a disco visit (of course you can), but because these round discs, the discs, are essential components of the assembly mechanism. The rods receive discs at both ends, which are attached with a plug mechanism.
And then the bed is ready for assembly. The discs are simply placed on the round-shaped frames of the head and foot ends.
That's what it looks like. Holds up securely. And is a very easy assembly. The entire bed, depending on your level of practice, is a matter of minutes.
Ready for action. Here we come to 208 centimeters length, 82 centimeters width, 48.5 centimeters height. Load capacity 136 kilograms, says the manufacturer. It feels extremely stable during the test lie down. And it's a real bed ...
