A good belt delivers on its promises. And not only does it hold up your pants, but if it's a War or Gun Belt, it carries equipment and weapons. The LCS Gun Belt from CONDOR is one such belt, and we put it to the test.
The LCS Gun Belt is exactly 5cm wide and constructed to be rigid. LCS is an abbreviation for "Laser Cut System," and that's exactly what this belt offers: laser-cut PALS loops.
And there are quite a few of these loops, namely 20 columns in size M. A lot of pouches can be attached here. And the LCS is designed in two parts.
To ensure there's no pressure, there's a non-slip, Velcro-compatible padding, about 5mm thick. It is included in the delivery. The foam rubber is comfortable and prevents the belt from pressing against the body.
The basic principle of integration: on the inside, the Gun Belt is equipped with Velcro. So here we see: on the left, the outer belt that carries weapons and pouches, and on the right, the optional padding that provides good cushioning, which the shooter can also do without if desired.
If desired, the LCS can also be used without padding, but with a second belt with hook and loop (not included). In the image, the Mustang Inner Belt from Direct Action Gear. This secures the LCS firmly to the hip, preventing any movement.
The belt width is adjustable from the inside. This is practical because it gives you PALS almost all the way to the buckle. No space is wasted.
Speaking of the buckle, the LCS Gun Belt comes with a sturdy 50 mm quick release buckle. There is also a version with a Cobra buckle, known as the LCS COBRA GUN BELT.
The belt is slim, despite the padding, it is just over a centimeter thick, to be precise, 11 mm.
The LCS Gun Belt is also well reinforced, as you can see in the image. It provides a solid platform for holsters and pouches.
If you bend the belt against its natural curve, the PALS slots bulge, making it easier to attach pouches. There are three ways to do this. The first is to slide the MOLLE strip completely past the laser-cut Cordura. This holds well.
The second option would be to use only the middle, 25mm wide loop. This is the classic method with the classic drawback. The attached pouch stays on the belt but moves around when the wearer walks.
The third option is to loop the pouch correctly. This is a bit more complicated but the most stable method. Nothing will move around using this method.
CONCLUSION: The LCS Gun Belt delivers on its promises, keeping your holster and pouches securely on your hip. A solidly constructed gun belt at a fair price. It is perfect as a ready-to-go, lightweight "I'm going shooting quickly" belt. Particularly attractive is the good padding it comes with. Those who want to use the belt without padding will also be satisfied. Or they can use a Velcro inner belt to secure the Gun Belt.
The LCS Gun Belt is available at Recon Company for 32.95 excl. shipping in Olive, Black, and Coyote.
