REVIEW: CONDOR Elite Metropolis Briefcase

A practical briefcase is sought which is functional, has a civilian look, is robust, protects the contents, and has a good value for money overall? The US-American company CONDOR has released a new bag on the market. This is the CONDOR ELITE METROPOLIS BRIEFCASE. SPARTANAT had the opportunity to take a closer look at the bag.

The bag, measuring 43 x 30 x 22 cm, is made of Mil-Spec 500 Denier Cordura®, high-strength composite nylon thread, and webbing. The weight when empty is 1,175 grams, total volume approx. 28 liters.

Synthetic material from Rhino Skin reinforces the more stressed areas of the bag at the bottom against high abrasion and wear.

Durable YKK® two-way zippers with Para Cord pulls are processed in all areas of the METROPOLIS BIEFCASE. Also good to see is the

Adjustable and padded shoulder strap with Fastex buckles facilitate the transport and carrying of the METROPOLIS BRIEFCASE.

There are two simply constructed carrying handles, which are held together by Velcro and provide a comfortable carrying feel.

On one large front pocket, three MOLLE loops are attached to expand the METROPOLIS BRIEFCASE with additional accessories. Velcro areas on the lid of the front pocket and the MOLLE loops allow the attachment of ID tags and patches.

Inside this compartment of the METROPOLIS BRIEFCASE are two large rubber loops suitable for holding additional long weapon magazines.

Next to this, on the METROPOLIS BRIEFCASE is a second and equally large organizer pocket with some features. From the outside, it looks like a normal front pocket, ...

... there is a transparent ID holder hidden inside, which can be folded outwards and securely held by a Velcro closure.

Behind the ID holder there is enough space for storing and accessing additional equipment.

Through YKK® double zippers with Para Cord pulls, you then have access to the well-organized administrative area of the METROPOLIS BRIEFCASE.

On the left and right side of the METROPOLIS BRIEFCASE there are two bottle holders, and once again MOLLE loops are attached on the outside. A 1-liter Nalgene bottle fits in there.

Through a D-ring, the professional user has access to the concealed carry area of the METROPOLIS BRIEFCASE. In the large compartment, there is a 300 mm x 100 mm Velcro strip, suitable for attaching holsters or magazine pouches.

The approximately 14-liter main compartment is accessible via YKK® double zippers and features a large Velcro area on one side and two large zippered mesh pockets on the other side. Two large A4 folders fit easily inside.

On the back of the METROPOLIS there is a narrow and well-padded laptop compartment. Inside are two pockets, each with a retention strap, to keep the laptop in place. Laptops up to 15 inches fit very well in there.

A very thin compartment completes the storage options of the METROPOLIS BRIEFCASE.

A loop strap for trolley bag handles, to place the METROPOLIS BRIEFCASE on a larger bag with wheels and a telescopic handle is also available on the back.

CONCLUSION: The METROPOLIS BRIEFCASE is unbeatable for its price-performance ratio. The bag is well-constructed and tailored to different users. Whether in the tactical operational field, office, or university, the bag makes a very good impression, not only because of its appearance, but also thanks to its high-quality workmanship.
